B2 Tourist Visa

B2 Tourist Visa is meant for a vacation, it is a tourist visa, which allows one to visit the United States for enjoyment. The purpose of the visit could be to meet a relative or family member, could be for getting medical treatment, or just a vacation trip. B2 Tourist visa is mostly given for 6 months. The border authorities at the port of entry may also reduce the period of stay. Going to stay only for the specified period of time
The nonimmigrant must not be suspected to depart the United States when the visa expires
The nonimmigrant should have a valid citizenship in his country
The nonimmigrant should have relevant funds to cover his stay in the United States
The nonimmigrant should not involve in illegitimate activities during his vacation stay in the United States
The nonimmigrant should not get employed in a gainful job that pays him money for his services in the United States when he is traveling with the B2 Tourist Visa permit.

B2 Tourist Visa should be applied for well ahead of time, because the issuance is a time consuming process and is subject to acute inspection after the 9/11 event. There is a typical wait time in the calendar business days for each kind of visa, though very clear B2 tourist visa is given as fast as 2 days, it is better if you plan it well ahead of time.

Some B2 Tourist Visa issuance may require special clearing and administrative processes that may slow the process. Applicants are better advised to plan the trip long ahead!
