Internships in the US

Internships in the US are student programs available at the US Department of State which are meant for US citizens aspiring for equipping themselves with extra knowledge in their fields of interest

There are several internships in the US namely Cooperative Education Program, Fascell Fellowship program, presidential management fellows program, stay in school, student disability program, student internships, summer clerical program and Thomas.R.Pickering Foreign affairs/ graduate foreign affairs fellowship program.

The basic eligibility for the internships in the US is US citizenship. Then every program has its own set of mandatory requirements:-
The cooperative education program is a full time or part time course on classroom instruction, projects, for which you have to pursue a degree or certificate course or diploma either on a full time or a part time basis.
Fascell Fellowship program are available for US citizens over 21 years of age pursuing linguistics or other related area studies. It helps you to be a part of a diplomatic or consular mission. It is essential for you to be fluent in the language of the country for which you wish to be considered.
Presidential management fellows program are meant for people who aspire to excel in the field of leadership and management policies. But you have to be nominated by the dean, director and chairperson of your graduate course for Internships in the US for which you have to prove your ability in the leadership and management activities.
Internships in the US provide stay in school program, clubs, and work and study either as a part time or full time intern. You have to be at least 16 years of age and you must have adequate financial support. You would also be given a regular pay with added benefits.
The student disability program is aimed at skilful and talented disabled students who are capable for permanent and temporary employment either in the federal or private sector.
Student internships are available for academically outstanding students who are pursuing a full time or part time college or university course or a graduate. It gives the students the opportunity to get hands on experience in foreign affairs of the country.
Summer clerical programs focus on telecalling, receptionist related work, maintenance of files, stenographical work, etc. Thomas.R.Pickering Foreign affairs/ graduate foreign affairs fellowship program is for outstanding graduate or undergraduate students who are interested in pursuing a career in foreign service. This program is funded by the US Department of State.
