P Visa Athlete/Entertainer

P Visa Athlete/Entertainer is issued for qualifying athletes and entertainers. Similar to any other nonimmigrant visas the P Visa Athlete/Entertainer process should be initiated by a qualifying sponsor from the U.S. with a call petition.

The P Visa Athlete/Entertainer enables one to work for the sponsoring employer. If one switches employer then the current visa may not serve the purpose; the alien should have another visa processed for the same reason with a call petition or amendment from the new employer who is ready to sponsor. The immediate family members of P Visa Athlete/Entertainer can live and study in the U.S.; they are not allowed to work in an employment.

P Visa Athlete/Entertainer is meant for teams involved in entertainment or for athletes or a team of athletes that badge international recognition in their field of service.

P Visa Athlete/Entertainer for athletes calls for any of the following proofs:-
The applicant team or athlete should provide proofs of having participated in any of the U.S. sports association events.
The applicant team or athlete should provide proofs of having participated in any international competition.
The applicant team or athlete should provide proofs of having participated in any of the intercollegiate sports conducted in the U.S.
A high ranking official from the U.S. sports association should provide a certified letter regarding the international recognition of the sports team or the athlete.
Any other proof of international ranking for the team or the athlete.
Any international or national awards or medals that the team or athlete has received for the sport.

P Visa Athlete/Entertainer for entertainers calls for any of the following proofs:-
P Visa Athlete/Entertainer is available only for group entertainers it is not available for individual entertainers.
Proof of regular performance for at least one year by the team.
Employment data for each member of the group from the time of involving with the entertainment team.
Proof of international or national awards or recognitions won by the team.
Contracts, agreements, advertisements, press releases, critical reviews, magazine releases about the team as a social proof and identity recognition.
Proof of commercial turn over of the group denoting commercial success or high salary details as a proof of exceptional skills or proof of government recognition and awards to encourage the team.
